Hi,

I am a teacher at a european 1st grade school and last year I was assigned to give the subject of Internet & Computers to 3 groups of 8-year-old kids. The first year I tried to teach them a lot on how to use computers, software and internet tools like browsers, search engines, e-mail, etc.

But this Christmas my american cousin and his family came to visit me and her kids told me they received a course on online safety and that got me thinking that I had to include it in this year, but I have no idea on where to start.

A friend of mine directed me today to your blog and this post. Can i ask you to be so kind to share the points you stated in your speech on Security Awareness? I would very much appreciate it.

Thanks a lot,
Pep.

I am glad to see some healthy debate taking place as a result of both mine and Jeremiah's postings. It is certainly a difficult issue to address, and hopefully in the coming days we'll see some fresh new thoughts come to light.

YES! I said the same thing. Just unplug it already! Unplug the firewall, pull the plug between the FAA systems and the firewall, something.

I did decide to just go with it and it is entertaining, but still frustrating at the same time.
